Within school we operate an open door policy and parents/carers are encouraged to make enquiries on any matter, small or large, in person, by email, letter or telephone.  Often these enquiries can be dealt with on the spot, although it is sometimes necessary to arrange an appointment to talk the matter through in more detail.

Your child’s teacher or the school office will be able to answer most of your questions, and will normally be your first point of contact. However, the Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher are always willing to meet with parent/carers to discuss any subject they wish to raise.  Please telephone or call in to the school office to make an appointment.

We operate a range of communication strategies to ensure clear, open dialogue between parents and school.  Information about forthcoming events, newsletters, educational visits, and diary dates are sent home electronically by Marvellous Me. Newsletters are also posted onto the school website and to our Facebook page.  Details and reminders of upcoming events are also shared on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Occasionally parents, due to personal circumstances, may request separate and additional copies of school information to be forwarded to them.  The school is happy to support this and our procedures are outlined in the ‘working with separated parents policy’.

The school also uses email to promote contact between teachers and the parents of the children in their classes. Please contact the school office if you would like to know your child’s class teacher’s email address.
