Our school is organised into 4 distinct stages;
- Early Years Foundation Stage
- Key Stage 1
- Lower Key Stage 2
- Upper Key Stage 2
Each Key Stage is based in its own area of the school with its own entrance, exit and toileting facilities. Classrooms are arranged around shared central areas and classes based in each Key Stage work collaboratively to plan and deliver a high quality curriculum. All classes are of single age groups and are of mixed ability.
Teaching is planned and organised to provide the maximum support and opportunity for learning for all children in each class. This will include whole class teaching, group work and individual work depending on the nature of the activity. The pastoral care of children in school is the responsibility of the child’s class teacher with additional help and guidance from the Head Teacher and Assistant Head Teachers.
